Global Radio undergoes another huge shake up as CBB star joins Capital Xtra after Roman

Global Radio has announced yet another huge shake up following the double-departure of Roman Kemp and Will Njobvu from Capital FM just one week ago.

Roman announced he would be leaving his highly coveted breakfast slot as he could no longer handle reliving the day that his best friend passed away.

In 2020, Capital producer Joe Lyons died from suicide and Roman learned of his death while in the studio, traumatising him.

Hours later, Will stepped down from his Saturday breakfast show after four-and-a-half ‘amazing’ years to ‘focus on new opportunities’.

Now, a week later, a new face on sister channel Capital XTRA as been unveiled and it’s none other than Celebrity Big Brother star Zeze Millz!

The star was the sixth celebrity evicted from the comeback series of the reality programme which aired in March.

The series was eventually won by David Potts and quickly became loved for the celebrity-bashing gossips between housemates Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.

Zeze has appeared as a guest on the station several times and attended Capital XTRA’s Brunch ‘N’ Beats party last year.

Commenting on her new job, Zeze said: ‘Hosting my very own show on Capital XTRA, one of the most cutting-edge Hip Hop and R&B radio stations out there, is honestly so exciting.

‘I cannot wait to get behind the mic and get started! I am so ready for it, and I am thrilled to be joining the Capital XTRA family!’

Matt Deverson, Managing Editor for Capital XTRA, said: ‘We’ve been quietly working with Zeze for some time now, and I’m delighted that we can welcome her properly to Capital XTRA with her own Sunday show.

‘The body of work Zeze has produced over the last few years – as a presenter and content creator – has been really exciting, and we are thrilled that she is joining us at Global.’

Zeze has been making waves in the music industry since 2018, where she has interviewed the likes of Big Narstie, Beenie Man, and Wiley on her popular YouTube series, The Zeze Millz Show.
