This first change looked it was coming before the third goal. Antony is taken off by Erik ten Hag, and Sofyan Amrabat is tasked with seeing out the final half an hour of this one.

It’s a third for the Eagles! They’ve forced two good saves out of Onana in quick succession, but they’re finally rewarded with a another goal for their troubles.

Twice the captain has been thwarted by a goal being disallowed – but his performances have also drawn serious ire, especially from Jamie Carragher, who thinks he should have been hooked at the break.

Casemiro has a second goal ruled out – following the first one for an infringement on the goalkeeper, the second is for offside. The footage shows he’s far off.

The ball came in from an Eriksen free kick, which Casemiro headed against the post, before following in to bundle it home – but all to no avail.

Ball whipped in from the left hand side by Munoz, Eze takes a shot, but it’s comfortable enough for Onana to save. A good opportunity for Palace to make it three though.

I think it’s a little bit harsh, but when you’re challenging like that.., Hojlund catches Henderson’s arm. Anywhere else on the pitch, it’s not a foul, but because it’s the goalkeeper.

No changes from either side, and we’re back underway.

This has got nothing to do with playing out of position. That is embarrassing. He needs to come off the pitch. Put Wan-Bissaka in the middle and put someone at full-back.

It’s just one run from Olise he sees the space and just runs into it. It’s shambolic, Casemiro I don’t know what he’s thinking, Olise sees he’s going to make a challenge, he just walks past him, it’s so easy.

Utd have been second best all over the pitch and deserve to be behind to fine efforts from Olise and Mateta. Hard to see how they turn this one around.

Crystal Palace are making this look easy, and seem to be coasting. They’re the team that look like they should be on the European stage.

If Erik ten Hag wants to be sure of his job this summer, this half-time team-talk is going be a crucial part of going the right way about it. As it’s not a strong Man United bench, so he will need a change of mindset from those who started at Selhurst Park…

I wonder what the pundits will make of that disallowed goal at half-time. Will it change the course of tonight’s game?

Danes go head-to-head, with Palace defender Andersen – who split the two sides in September – bringing down his compatriot Hojlund. It’s not a booking though, just a free-kick to the Red Devils.

Palace earn a free kick on the edge of the centre circle. They set up to launch it forward, but Richards was unable to control his header and it trickles out for a goal kick.

Mason Mount looks to control the ball on the edge of the box, but his half-hearted attempt at a shot is easily blocked.

What can Erik ten Hag and Man United do now?

He was on the scoresheet the last time Man United were at Crystal Palace, and he’s done it again.

The Eagles are in front within 12 minutes – like they were in the first half against the Red Devils in September. They held on for a 1-0 then… that might not work this time around.

Some great footwork from Olise, and he opens up a gap through the Manchester United defence. He finds the space to shoot low and past Onana for his 8th PL goal of the season.

Eze is so good with the ball at his feet, spinning on the edge of the box in the hope of making enough space for an opportunity. Casemiro’s equal to it though, and it amounts to nothing.

A relatively cagey start to proceedings in south-east London so far…

Mainoo tries to hit the ball forward to Mount, but it’s slightly too long, and goes out for a Palace goal kick.

Mitchell runs into the box, but is brought down by Evans. There are half-hearted shouts for a Palace penalty, but the replays show the Man United defender got the ball.

Crystal Palace get an early corner. Wharton takes it short, and Eze is tackled by Mason Mount.

I think you want to see United on the front foot and attacking. They need to make sure they’re on the front foot from the start.

The action at Selhurst Park is imminent.

Young: ‘He’s been stop start, he’s had injuries. When you start at Man United you either sink or swim. He wants to get on the pitch now and show what we saw at Chelsea.’

Carragher: ‘I’m a fan of Mason Mount. For me, Mount is a player you play in a 4-3-3. He’s in a number ten role, Bruno’s not playing. In terms of going forward, Fernandes has to play, I’m still not sure next season how that works to get both players in the same team.’

What will be really interesting, what happens in the summer. Iff they want to kick on as a club, they need to keep hold of those two players.

Eze and Olise are fantastic talents. They’re dangerous on the pitch. They create chances, they score goals themselves. The manager is delighted to have them both in the team together. With Mateta as their focal point, they’re running off him.

Man United have been without Bruno Fernandes for just five matches since he joined in 2020 – although they have won three of those.

Erik ten Hag will need his side to get off to the right start, as their bench is not that strong on experience, and includes two goalkeepers to make up the numbers…

If you think of the club the size of Man United, you’d expect them to be higher up this table.

However, Man United will be without Harry Maguire, who is ruled out for three weeks after picking up a muscle injury in training.

Its touch-and-go whether he’ll be back in time for the FA Cup final at the end of May – although it is not expected to jeopardise his role at the Euros.

Crystal Palace have never done the league double over the Red Devils.

But Man United have failed to win on their last three PL visits to Selhurst Park, drawing two and losing one.

Erik ten Hag’s side have a rotten record in London this term, with defeats at Spurs, Arsenal, West Ham and Chelsea. Can they avoid five capital losses in one season?

Man United’s trip to Selhurst Park could prove a vital one in the race for European qualification, which has been hotting up in the final weeks of the campaign.

Erik ten Hag’s side currently lie eighth in the table but know victory this evening would move them ahead of Chelsea and Newcastle. The Red Devils could also move to three points of a stuttering Spurs side.

Crystal Palace will be no pushovers though with the Eagles enjoying a strong end to the season under Oliver Glasner.
