Anna Nicole Smith‘s daughter Dannielynn continued her tradition of attending the Kentucky Derby with her father Larry Birkhead on Saturday.
For the special occasion, the 17-year-old high school graduate, who has been raised outside of the Hollywood spotlight, wore a beautiful red Badgley Mischka gown and debuted a new shorter haircut.
‘On the way to @kentuckyderby with Dannielynn after a great night at the Barnstable-Brown Gala and quick morning haircut or two,’ Larry captioned a slideshow of pictures featuring his teenager.
‘Dannielynn’s dress was inspired by her favorite character Hino Eiji, Kamen Rider OOO TaJaDor combo – she made me write that – because that character had the same shoulders as the design of the dress she found!,’ he continued.

‘Hey whatever works, just trying to spend a little quality time as this weekend of traditions come to a close…’ the beaming dad concluded.
Dannielynn looked beautiful in a red gown with ruffled sleeves and a red fascinator.
She was the spitting image of her late mother as she held an action figure of the character her look was based on in her hand in one of the photos.
Photographer Larry looked dapper in a grey suit with a white shirt and purple patterned tie.
The comments were filled with praise for Larry, who raised Dannielynn on his own after the 2007 death of Anna Nicole, when her daughter was one.
‘She is so beautiful. You have done a great job raising her! I followed the whole saga with her and she is so lucky to have you!,’ one fan wrote.
Another commented expressed: ‘I love that she’s always dressed appropriately for her age. She is so gorgeous!’
