Tish Cyrus talks Dominic Purcell ‘issues’ and says she feared ‘they were the absolute

Cyrus family matriarch Tish spoke on her daughter Brandi Cyrus’ podcast Sorry We’re Stoned about her marriage to Dominic Purcell, 54.

Tish, 56, said there are ‘definitely issues’ and that she looked up their astrology signs compatibility and it confirmed it.

‘I was so scared when I first met Dom, my husband. I am a Taurus and he is an Aquarius and every single thing I read said, “Don’t even do it. It’s the absolute worst pairing.”‘ 

While she didn’t speak on any other issues on the podcast, it has been previously reported that Tish wants to repair her relationship with her daughter Noah, 24 – who dated Dominic before her. 

‘Tish definitely still wants to have a relationship with Noah,’ a source recently told US Weekly.  ‘She hopes they can move past this.’

The All Falls Down singer had been dating the Prison Break actor for nearly a year when her mother reportedly started to pursue him. 

Tish is also the mother to pop icon Miley Cyrus. 

During her interview on Brandi’s podcast, she said that she, as a Taurus, is ‘easily offended,’ and ‘takes things so personally’ while Dominic is ‘blunt’ and is ‘not emotional.’

Adding: ‘And that could be a problem. But you know what, this is where I’ve grown, is like, I just feel like instead now of me getting offended, because I respect and love him, we have conversations.’

‘And instead [of] getting so upset and heated about it, and me not taking it personally, just letting him have an opinion. I’ve never been good at that,’ she said.

‘There are definitely issues. But issues also, because I love him, that I’m dealing with,’ Tish concluded. 

In a February appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the influencer told her side of the story.

‘In 2016, Dom DMed me,’ she said. 

‘I had followed him on Instagram and he DMed me and just said, “Hey, Tish, just wanted to [say], I think you’re super cool and you’re doing such a great job with your family,” she revealed, adding, ’I didn’t see it for a year.’ 

Tish said she reached out to the man who would become her husband after she and ex, Billy Ray Cyrus, split in 2022.

She also noted that the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow star had been her ‘hall pass’ during her marriage to the Achy Breaky Heart singer. 

When Tish and Dominic finally met, it appeared to be instant fireworks.

‘So we go to lunch,’ the LOL producer say, ‘and make out for like three hours at a pub.’

The next day, she claimed, the pair shared ‘I love yous.’

They announced their engagement in April 2023, one year to the date of the split from Billy Ray.

The pair tied the knot at Miley’s Malibu house in August 2023.

The Flowers singer, 31, walked her mom down the aisle.

Siblings Brandi, 36, and Trace, 35, were in attendance, but Noah and brother Braison, 29, were not. 

According to a DailyMail.com insider, Noah’s absence at the wedding was not by choice, but rather the result of Tish failing to invite her. 

The insider also said that the story about Tish allegedly ‘stealing’ Dominic from her daughter has only further complicated the already-difficult dynamic between her and Noah, who, they claimed, has always felt her mother ‘favors’ Miley over her other children.

US Weekly reported speaking to a separate source who claimed the Wrecking Ball artist was ‘devastated’ about the contention in her family.

‘Miley is devastated her family’s been torn apart,.’ the insider said earlier this month contending the Grammy winner ‘believes [the family rift is] beyond repair at this time.’

Noah has gone on to her own happy ending. She and fashion designer Pinkus announced their engagement in Jun 2023.
