Chris Hemsworth holds his best mate Matt Damon’s hand as they get tattoos together in LA
Best friends Chris Hemsworth, 40, and Matt Damon, 52, have taken their bond to another level by getting tattoos together.
In several Instagram photos, Chris, 40, and Matt, 52, are seen seated as a talented tattoo artist Corina Weikl worked on their arms at a private home in Los Angeles.
One captured Chris holding Matt’s hand while Weikl crafted the design on his right bicep as their wives Elsa Pataky and Luciana Barroso looked on.
In another, Chris proudly displayed his fresh ink, showcasing a striking display of abstract lines down his left forearm.
The pair got the tattoos just before attending this year’s Oscars.

Weikl posted the photos on her Instagram page and wrote in the caption: ‘Pre-game hangs before the Oscars with @chrishemsworth @elsapataky #mattdamon @dameluce. I love my job. Thank you for being so great.’
Matt and Chris have enjoyed a close friendship of over a decade, with Damon frequently flying to Sydney to hang out with Chris at his Byron Bay mansion.
Chris is married to Spanish model and actress Elsa, with whom he shares his daughter India, 11, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, nine.
Meanwhile, Matt and his wife Luciana have three daughters together – Isabella, 16, Gia, 14, and Stella, 13. The Bourne Identity star is also a stepfather to Luciana’s daughter from a previous marriage, Alexia, now 24.

Chris has been buddies with Matt since before becoming a star, the Australian hunk explained to GQ in a 2014 interview.
‘We became friends around the time I started to work, and I’ve really benefited from watching how he handles himself,’ Chris dished. ‘Matt’s just a normal guy who has the movie-star thing figured out.’
A few years ago, Elsa gushed to People magazine that Matt ‘is an amazing dad and an amazing person, he’s so easy.’

Elsa, who hails from Spain, noted that Matt’s ‘wife is Argentinian so we speak Spanish. So for me it’s a relief, yes, somebody I can speak Spanish with! We’ve become very good friends.’
Luciana and Elsa went so far as to get matching pinky tattoos when they spent Christmas of 2017 together in Australia.
The movie stars’ families have taken holidays together, traveling to such glamorous destinations as Monaco and Costa Rica.
