Taking to Instagram following the show, she gushed that getting to sharing her baby news with her fans was an ‘unforgettable experience.

She wrote: ‘It’s been over a week since the Kentish Town Forum show. I had a little break straight after.

‘It was so incredible to get to share our news with you all in person like this. What a unique and unforgettable experience. Love you lots and lots.’

Eliza later shared an image of herself and her partner, film director Charlie Robins, who has worked on some of her music videos.

Alongside a pictured of them she wrote: ‘Mummy and Daddy.’

The Westminster-born performer shot to fame with debut single Skinny Genes in April 2010, which was quickly followed by UK top 5 hit Pack Up.

In recent years she’s ditched her Doolittle moniker, performing under the name ELIZA.

She previously discussed her meteroic rise to fame and her battle for control with record bosses with Wonderland Magazine, saying: ‘I was 17 when I got signed and swooped up into the industry side of things.’

The singer continued: ‘It was really fun and exciting, you know; we were hustling, we were doing this pop thing. But, I always found myself coming head to head with them, and feeling like I wasn’t being true to myself in one way or another.

‘In the end it wasn’t for me, I’m too controlling, and I want to be able to make music the way I want to do it,’ she concluded.

In 2022, Eliza independently released her fourth album A Sky Without Stars, after leaving her label Parlophone after her first two albums.

Eliza explained to Official Charts: ‘For me, that environment wasn’t benefitting my creativity. I just wanted to go out on my own, hence the name change. It was like becoming a solo artist.

‘I’m still really proud of those songs and I love them. But, when I look back on it, I had to get out. It was enough for me.’

Speaking about the release of A Sky Without Stars, she added: ‘I was very young [when I released] the earlier stuff, and now I’m more connected and energised with what I care about and what I make; where it be personal issues or my wider community, those are the things I want to sing about. I want to help change the world for better, in my own little way.’

‘I do want to make something that feels like it’s going down to a deeper place. I guess the right word would be. All the songs may be about different things, but the intention is the same.’

Eliza also previously revealed she had trouble letting go when it comes to the recording process.

‘I’m definitely a bit of a control freak, especially when it comes to my music or anything creative, she told Fault magazine.

‘But I’m trying to let go a little bit – it’s important to let people in who can elevate you and make you the best that you can be.’
