Darts sensation Luke Littler has been open about celebrating wins with kebabs and pizzas, but has become the face of new BEST cereal.

The 17-year-old shot to stardom with a fairytale run at Alexandra Palace over the last four weeks, before falling to world No1 Luke Humphries 7-4 in the final.

The Warrington-born teenager went from 66-1 outsider at the start of the tournament to a national sensation in less than a month after becoming the youngest-ever player to reach the World Darts Championship final.

And he has now branched out in the world of sponsorships, partnering with YouTubers Sidemen to be the testimonial of BEST’s new breakfast meal.

The teenager, who has won the Bahrain Masters, a Players Championship title, and reached a weekly final in the Premier League since his run at the Ally Pally, stars in the advert which was released on Wednesday.

In the video, Littler is sat on a sofa eating a bowl of cereal on his sofa, while watching a video on his phone with a dartboard on the wall on the far side of the room.

As he stops eating, the teenager picks up three darts from the tables in front of him and proceeds to hit the bullseye three times without even looking up at the dartboard.

The camera then pans back to Littler who nods knowingly, before tucking into his bowl of cereals again.

According to venture’s official websites, BEST have teamed up with Magic Breakfast ‘to donate BEST Cereal to young people that need it at school’.

The brand is currently available in Choco Crunch and Caramel Gold flavour and launched in Tesco on Wednesday, but there are plans for it to be distributed across other supermarket chains later this year.

Littler’s latest business partnership could hardly have been better timed, given last week he admitted feeling sick after skipping breakfast ahead of the Round of 16 ties of the UK Open.

The 17-year-old pulled off wins over both Martin Schindler and Dave Chisnall at the event held at Butlins Minehead, despite going behind in the early stages of both encounters.

Speaking after the win, Littler said missing breakfast had an effect on his performances and that he felt sick before the afternoon’s proceedings.

‘If everyone didn’t know before, they will know now I’m not a morning person,’ he said.

‘I think I play better in the evening. I did struggle earlier but managed to get over the line against Martin Schindler. After that game I chilled out and had some food.’

In the aftermath of his fairytale run at the Ally Pally, Littler has signed a multi-year contract with darts sponsors Target believed to be among the biggest deal in the sport and has become an ambassador for clothing giant boohooMAN.
