At least six teenagers were injured after gunshots erupted at a Bronx train station.
The New York City Police Department has launched an investigation after shots were fired on the uptown 4 train platform at the Mount Eden station around 4:45 pm.
The incident started on a train and continued onto the platform, police said.
The MTA said northbound 4 trains are running on the express track from 149 St.-Grand Concourse to Burnside Avenue and 4 trains are bypassing Mount Eden Avenue in both directions.
The NYPD is urging the public to avoid the area of Jerome Avenue between Inwood Avenue and Townsend Avenue.

Footage from the Citizen app showed ambulances and emergency personnel gathered at the scene.
NYPD officers stood in the road beneath the subway tracks, redirecting traffic.
The conditions of the victims are not yet known.
