Mean Girls star Renee Rapp FALLS OVER while stumbling out of TV studio with champagne

Mean Girls star Reneé Rapp took a tumble as she waltzed out of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert clutching an open bottle of champagne on Wednesday night.

The actress, 23, emerged from the New York studio in high spirits but quickly came back down to earth with a thud after tripping on a step.

Her bottle of Veuve Clicquot miraculously survived the fall and in a rather impressive display, she barely spilled a drop of the expensive bubbly.

Two gentlemen quickly helped her back up again and she opted to hand over the bottle before getting into a waiting car.

Renee wore a burgundy toned zip-up leather jacket with a matching skirt, adding boots for her late night TV appearance.

Renee’s tumble came one night after she honored her Mean Girls character Regina George at the New York City premiere of the forthcoming remake movie of the same name.

She wore a black satin Christian Siriano spring 2024 tuxedo dress for the star-studded event.

She subtly paid homage to Regina’s — originally played by Rachel McAdams — pink satin Spring Fling dress by wearing a pink corset worn on top of the gown.

The statement-making corset featured a black lace-up center and the skirt of the look boasted a high slit and train.

In the 2004 film, written by Tina Fey, Regina donned a strapless dress and the black straps of her brace hilariously became part of the ensemble.

Rapp complemented her presentation with chunky silver-toned hoop earrings, various rings, and black heels.

Her shaggy, frosty blonde haircut was worn loose as it grazed her shoulders and why styled in a wispy look with bangs.

The Sex Lives of College Girls star’s eyes were rimmed with black liner and mascara and she wore a nude pink color on her lips.

She showed off a short, glossy black manicure as she posed for photos on the red carpet.

It comes after last week Renee released the music video for the movie soundtrack’s single Not My Fault, which she recorded with Megan Thee Stallion.

The track title is a reference to a line Lindsay Lohan’s character Cady yelled at Lizzy Caplan’s Janis in the 2004 feature film.

The new film stars Angourie Rice as Cady, Rapp as Regina (reprising her Broadway role), Auli’i Cravalho as Janis, Jaquel Spivey as Damian, Anantika as Karen and Bebe Wood as Gretchen.

The synopsis reads: ‘A new student at high school faces the wrath of a popular girl and her friends.’

Mad Men veteran Jon Hamm is also in the film as a high school coach, and he attended Monday’s premiere alongside new wife Anna Osceola.

The project was directed by Arturo Perez Jr. and Samantha Jayne, in a screenplay from Fey, who also has a role in the film.

The first movie generated a strong following after its debut, and a made-for-television sequel to the film was released in 2011.

A stage musical based on the movie came out in 2017 and ran on Broadway until 2020. Mean Girls the reboot will premiere in theaters on January 12.
