Copenhagen were the surprise victors of their group after beating a beleagured Manchester United side on home turf and holding Bayern Munich to a 0-0 draw at the Allianz.

But they face an instant challenge against Pep Guardiola’s Treble winners who moved through their group tests with ease to pull off a record six wins from six.

Copenhagen’s best-ever record in the competition came in 2010-11, when the Danish side made the round of 16.

Arsenal will have to contend with the 2003-04 winners of the competition in their first knockout tie, who beat Shakhtar Donetsk and Royal Antwerp en route to qualifying.

Two defeats to Barcelona, however, kept Sergio Conceicao’s side from topping their group.
