Homicide detectives have launched an investigation after a woman and child were found dead in Sydney‘s west and a man’s body was discovered in a townhouse 5km away.

The woman and child were located at a martial arts studio in North Parramatta, shortly after the man’s body was found in a townhouse complex in Watkins Road, Baulkham Hills, at about 11am.

The triple fatality is believed to be linked and police suspect they may be the husband, wife and child from the same family.

It’s understood a fourth person is also being quizzed by police after he attended a hospital on Monday night with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

His relationship to the three dead and how he came to be wounded is also under investigation.

Police sources said it was too early in the murder hunt to say if the deaths were domestic violence-related.

The crime scene at Lion’s Taekwondo Academy in Daking Street, Parramatta, has been sealed off, with firefighters covering up the windows of the martial arts studio.

It’s understood the black plastic across all the windows facing onto the main street was used to hide the grisly scene inside the studio from bystanders.

Forensic officers were also seen scouring an alleyway at the side of the academy building, where locals said they had been told a body had been found.

At the Baulkham Hills address, one detective raced out of a car and ran down the driveway at about 3.15pm, ducking under the police tape and into the crime scene.

The front window of the townhouse has also been smashed.

NSW Police homicide detectives are investigating following reports of three bodies located in two separate locations,’ a police spokesman said.

‘A male body was located deceased in Baulkham Hills, while two other bodies, believed to be a woman and a child, were located in North Parramatta.

‘Officers are investigating whether the two incidents are linked.

‘Multiple crime scenes have been established and are being examined by forensic officers.’

State Crime Command Homicide Squad have now taken over the investigation whol will release more details later today.
