The Olympian, 60, who’s real name Michael Edwards, posed for behind the scenes snaps ahead of skating with professional partner Vicky Ogden.

It comes as Amber Davies was seen being flung through the air by skating partner Simon Proulx-Senecal as they rehearsed the headbanger ahead of Sunday night’s ITV2 show .

The former Love Island star, 27, wore a safety helmet as she attempted the risky skating ahead of the show’s Musicals Week.

Attempting to high the difficulty of her routine, Amber and Simon have added in the iconic lift as they are set to skate to Revolting Children from Matilda The Musical.

The headbanger, or the bounce spin, sees a skater picked up their ankle and spun round by their partner.

Due to the potential danger, the move is actually banned by the International Skating Union (ISU), which governs competitive skating.

Performing the move at an ISU event will see points deducted by the judges, but it can be used in routines for exhibition or show skating.

Amber protected herself from the ice by wearing a long sleeved black jumper and grey leggings while Simon donned a grey hoodie and trousers.

The skating pair will also have to add in the judges’ challenge, a jump or a spin, into their performance.

Last week Amber topped the leaderboard after whipping the highest series score from Miles Nazaire as she and Simon earned a whopping 34 points for their Cha-Cha.

Dancing on Ice continues tonight at 6:20pm on ITV1 and ITVX
