An LSU superfan took his costume for their game against South Carolina extremely seriously on Thursday night, going for the full ‘Angel’ Reese look.

LSU’s home venue was nearly full an hour before tipoff for a special edition of College GameDay, taking place before one of the biggest college basketball games of the year so far.

The fan had a costume complete with a halo, wings, a tiger mask, as well as a robe in purple and yellow tiger stripes. On the robe is the name Reese and her No. 10.

Reese was not brought good luck by having an angel dedicated to her in the stands, though.

The top-ranked Gamecocks defeated the No. 9 Tigers 76-70 in a comeback victory to snap LSU’s 29-game home winning streak.

Reese fouled out of the game with more than four minutes to go, finishing the contest with 15 points.

The game was balanced across the board, with every starter for both teams scoring in double digits, but no one finishing the Southeastern Conference game with more than 16 points.

LSU is the defending national champion, and South Carolina only lost one game last season, in the Final Four to Iowa. The Tigers beat the Hawkeyes in the championship game.

With the win in Baton Rouge, the Gamecocks improved to 18-0 this season, while LSU falls to 18-3.

The teams are not scheduled to play again in the regular season, but with how strong both teams are, could meet up in the SEC or NCAA tournaments.
