Republican Rep. George Santos went on a screaming tirade in the halls of the Capitol complex after an anti-Israel protestor confronted him. 'He has no business in this building. What's happening in Israel is abhorrent,' screamed an extremely emotional Santos. 'No one defending Hamas has any business in this building...He's an animal. He's a [expletive] terrorist sympathizer,' he continued.

The event occurred immediately outside of where Republicans are meeting to vote on a new House speaker nominee. Capitol Police stepped in to intervene and arrested the protestor, identified as Shabd Singh, who got under Santos' skin. Santos - who is under federal indictment for allegedly embezzling campaign funds and lying to Congress - also falsely claimed to be Jewish himself in the past. He tried cleaning up his debunked religious claim by saying he meant he was 'Jew-ish.' 'I never claimed to be Jewish,' Santos previously told the New York Post. 'I am Catholic. Because I learned my maternal family had a Jewish background I said I was 'Jew-ish.'' The protestor, who is apparently Jewish but critical of Israel, wished to speak with former Speaker Kevin McCarthy. He said he is critical of any new war in the Middle East.

'I was following Mr. McCarthy as he was walking down down the hallway. I was asking him questions of what he is doing to stop the ongoing committing of war crimes by the Israeli military,' Singh said. Santos was apparently holding a child at the time of the confrontation. 'And the next time he tries to walk past me. With a child in my hand, I want him out of here,' he stated.
